The Beeches is a multi-use community-owned venue nestled on 13-acres in the heart of the beautiful Peak District. We’re just 20 minutes from Sheffield, one hour from Manchester and a 10 minute walk from Bamford train station.
Our spaces are perfect for day events, retreats, training & workshops, collective strategising, movement building and work that weaves together personal transformation with systemic change.
What’s on site
A main house and facilities for residential gatherings of up to 26 people indoors, with breakout rooms (5 toilets, 2 showers and 1 bath).
A large open field for events and gatherings, with camping space for up to 50 people
Two secluded off-grid woodland cabins
8 acres of woodland, an orchard, and a community food garden

Note: We have a lovely community of ~10 residents living on site, in the ancillary buildings to the Main House (see the site plan) This includes End House, Middle House, Tack Room, Coach House Flat & Caretakers Cottage. When requesting exclusive use, you will have exclusive use of the Main House, with shared or exclusive use of the community gardens and the camping field.

We offer a sliding scale pricing model to make The Beeches accessible to a wide range of groups. As this project is still evolving, so is our pricing structure. If you're interested in using the space, please reach out - we’ll work with you to find a rate that feels fair and manageable for your group.

Both cabins are wood-fired, off-grid with stoves and kitchenware to cook basic meals.
The cabins are in the woodlands next to the polytunnel in the community gardens. See our site plan to get a sense of their location.
Please note that the cabins are fully off-grid with basic facilities (access to a compost toilet only, no shower / bathroom access)
